hesitates between 3-4k???

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons? just anything that is generally "engine" specific.

had the same problem on an alero. turned out to be a small vacuum leak and a crank position sensor. I know on one of my DOHC neons I had a cam position sensor go bad that would cause hesitation. Is your timing all good to go? I would asssume it is if it pulls hard up to three and after four. If i had to take one guess I would say small vacuum leak somewhere.

I swapped PCMs and that fixed it. Timing is dead on...new motor.
