what is the stock compression on a 2.4 motor i wanna run a srt4 turbo on it im wondering if it'll hold up

sure it will youll be able to run around 8-10 psi with a fmic.

ok heres the deal im going to be picking up a 2.4 in a bit for 650$. im going to run my srt turbo on it with about 6-8psi, i have no clue how many miles are on the motor so i wanna do a refresher on the motor. i plan to put rings, rod bearings, main bearings, and an oil pump in it, new head gasket and other such gaskets, so heres my question i need to know exactly what else i need to do to get this 2.4 running in my car. i know i need the mm adapter for the passenger side also. Now for the electrical i dont know what to do, i know the coil pack wires you switch but do they mean the spark plug wires or the plug for the coil pack?? what else do i do?? PLEASE HELP im very capable of doing this project just need someone to tell me what needs to be done

look just because somebody posted something about doing a 2.4 swap does mean they explained everything i have read the stuff it doesnt give detail to anything thats why i ask a simple question about how things go. forums are suppose help with your projects, your not suppose to get an earful because you ask a question in the wrong place. i see people get bitched out all the time for asking questions that have been answered before, the reason they ask it is because they've never done it before and ask for help to figure it out so they dont have to ask.

im sure youll need a computer for the motor as well.and prob the engine wire harness too. there is a big write up on neons.org, some people here are rude just ignore them. i would suggest going to neons.org , they have a big write up on this topic and you will find every piece of info you need. good luck with your project and let us know if we can help you a little more, and keep us updated on your project . maybee this link will help you. http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?t=12557

Can use stock computer and wiring harness. Barely anything needs to be changed, especially if you have a DOHC. 2 wires.

one question if you pulling the motor apart to rebuild it why not get srt pistons and rods??

yea ive thought about it but im not sure which direction i wanna go yet money is an issue too i have the srt4 turbo but i love the cammed out n/a witha shot of nitrous im just unsure about everything
