Should I?
as most of you know (and probally sick of hearing me whine about) my 96 sohc hasn't been running in a while (no spark) and I have gone through it and changed sensors and tested away with no luck.
Ok now, I have a 2.4 that I am currently building and getting close to swapping it in. my question should I give one last attempt at getting the sohc figured out before I start screwing with the 2.4 and DOHC pcm?

scrap it or part it out for some pocket change
The definition of a NEON
A great domestic compact car whose rapidly disappearing taillights are most typically seen through the windshields of Honda Civics, Chevy Cavaliers, and other assorted shitboxes.
According to Urban Dict. dot COM
Lol, if you are putting the 2.4 into the SOHC car, it would help to make sure it all works first. But if the 2.4 has it's own sensors with the right pigtails, it could "fix" itself. To each his own though.
Nothing sucks more than getting a 2.4 in a car that you got with a blown motor, and having it not start up and you have to figure out if it's your fuck up or something else. Then it sucks when you find out the fuel pump is junk as well as the old motor, so you chase your tail awhile making sure you did it right.

everything works, I just have no spark. but I have tested and checked everything and changed a few sensors and pcm. I am at the point that I am close to dropping it off at a garage but I know thats going to cost a ton just to take it all back apart it would be kinda stupid to waste that much that could be put to much better use.
Well you must have missed something, if you were closer I bet I could figure out why it doesn't have spark within half an hour
If it were me, I'd just do the 2.4 swap, but then again I've done plenty of them and have had pretty much everything go wrong with a Neon that you can have go wrong, so I know what to look for. And I hate diagnosing stuff online cuz half the time people are too stupid to do what needs to be done to verify if sensors work or not.

no spark?
measure resistance of wires between pcm and ignition coil.
PCM PIN 2 (C2) ---- TO COIL PACK PIN 3
PCM PIN 3 (C2) ---- TO COIL PACK PIN 1
These should be no higher than 0.3-0.5 ohms. if the are you have green death somewhere.
otherwise, plugs, wires, coil.
if not, check your ground, pin 2 on the coil pack harness connector. backprobe with a jumper to ground. if the little shit starts, then you have a problem with that wire and its several splices, but doubtfull considering you say you have fuel, but no spark, and the injectors also ground off the same ground as the coil.
if that then fails. PCM my friend. Coil drivers would be fubar. wouldn't be the first time.
