Modern Performance SS DOHC LTH
PROS: Nice thick flange. Slipped right on. Nice welds. Looks good. Stock style ball/socket flange. Upper RPM gain.
CONS: $300! With the cat gone, and with the stock DOHC muffler, it sounds raspy.
I deleted the cat. Broke the downstream O2 sensor getting it out. Couldn't easily find a plug for the header. A spark plug works for a temp fix. The Mopar Performance PCM ignores the downstream sensor anyway. The #1 cylinder, lower exhaust manifold bolt is blocked by the alternator bracket on my '95. Lowes sells some black oxide Allen head bolts and HD washers that work great.

Choices are pretty limited for a DOHC LTH anymore. Pacesetter, yuck! No more TTIs on Howell Automotive, OBX only offers SOHC LTHs, or a used Fastfabs or Blackdogg. I like the stainless , and the ball/socket flange sold me.Skill wrote:i always wondered how that header performed. It was just added to their store a couple months ago.

They don't list any Neon stuff on their website, but you can try calling: 586-790-4100
My biggest issue with the MP SS header is the 2-1/4" outlet. I'm also not a fan of the ball/socket thing, pretty sure a steel braid flex coupler will generally be less restrictive.

no it doesn't, it will check on the downstream sensor, but not as often as the stock computer, it's the EGR that it ignores, only the AFX Race PCM ignores the downstream O2 sensorTomZ wrote: The Mopar Performance PCM ignores the downstream sensor anyway.

I thought because the '95 isn't fully OBDII compliant, it did. It didn't throw a code without a downstream sensor with the stock exhaust manifold. Are the '95s different...anyone?BlueR/T wrote:no it doesn't, it will check on the downstream sensor, but not as often as the stock computer, it's the EGR that it ignores, only the AFX Race PCM ignores the downstream O2 sensorTomZ wrote: The Mopar Performance PCM ignores the downstream sensor anyway.

Shit! If I 'd known that, I could have gotten the TTi polished and with thermal coating for just a little more. Shit!

correct, the 95's don't check the downstream O2 sensor, but 96 and up do, i ran without a cat for about a month, it took two weeks for the CEL to come on, but it did, its a code 72TomZ wrote:I thought because the '95 isn't fully OBDII compliant, it did.
