Fans work fine.

Didnt check for air pockets yet, i sorta forgot to fill it while the pass side was up. :-x

And i have the new thermostat ready in case the air pockets arent what is doing it.

Just wanted some input, thanks fellas.

The 98 Neon im working on, it will get to opp. temp. stay at normal for a good while, then all of a sudden it starts to go up slowly but surely. This is all at idle. Adapter? They don't need an adapter, do they? The DOHC was only a 1gn thing so it has the same exhaust downpipe flange as a 1gn with the little donut Well its a dohc header, the stock way does not work with it. and I know they come with the adapter flange. Can I buy one separately. I bought a DOHC header off a guy on Ebay about 3-4 yrs ago for 25 bucks and it did not come with the adapter for the downpipe.

Mine made that noise, it would come and go when it wanted. Then the one day I was atually at my work when it happened. We noticed the udp moving side to side. Update: Tore the timing back apart. good thing this all happend because I also realized the new water pump did not seal correctly. Anyway, problem was the tensioner was too tight. I'm going back to the hydraulic tensioner. I have the mechanical one for sale now, its fine. I just am too dumb to use i...

may just be a bad tensioner/idler is all. you may not have done anything "wrong" just they were no good. well MPx is gonna hate me if I have to send ANOTHER faulty tensioner back lol. The first one I did the same way as this one, and it broke. I even did one of these mechanical tensioners on a C60 ...

thnx that was what i was thinking also, I have a 97 neon, so how do i figure out how to see if thats the problem or do i have to replace that switch under the pedal, and how? also is there any fuse or switch besides the one under the clutch pedal i should be checking ? I dont think there is a fuse ...

Heres the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95poaRmQF2I This is what you're listening for. -You can obviously tell when I rev it with my fingers. -The sound seems to come from the timing cover area. -All vaccume lines accounted for. -Olmost 100% positive the timing cover is not rubbing the belt....
