Ok, now, long story short, after a cuffuffle and the demise of the green bastard (R.I.P. 1998 SOHC 4 door) and my 1999 DOHC 2 door boomeranging its way thru 4 people and coming back to me... I got the sweaty pig on the road. Was getting P0171 and P0500 codes right off the hop and was a pain to get t...

Carroll Shelby Daytona 16" Pumpers fit JUST fine, provided you do not use 205/55/16, must use 195/50/16... I know... I ended up hitting fender and tearing inner wells out with those monster tires.

may i suggest at anytime a water pump is replaced, that the timing belt be replaced too and any other associated components, tensioner, tensioner actuator, etc.

personal experience led me to swap my 95 head on early due to valve contact with pistons after belt snapped same day as pump was replaced.

95 head on 98 block, few quirks

changed CP sensor and all went well, new MLS gasket in, but temp guage pegs full hot on start up.
