Also, When I changed the plugs, they had quite a bit of white residue on them (running lean?)

Engine stubling when coming to a stop & startup

OK, I know a lot of engine problems sound like this, so let me try to be as clear as possible. The neon is having trouble starting without giving it some help with the pedal, and when coming to a stoplight, it stumbles a bit (especially just sitting at idle), but doesn't hesitate at takeoff and driv...

this is the wiring I'm after. if I knew what "feed" meant in the diagram maybe it would help me trace back the color of wire since I know the green/orange is a 12v source.

Alternator wiring connector

OK. Its an 98 sohc. I had the wires frayed on the alternator connector and didn't record their position. Can anyone tell me which goes where. There is a Green wire and a Green with orange stripe. From looking at a couple diagrams I guess the striped wire is the 12v source although that doesn't tell ...

ok, so I checked the spark, it was fine. I go back to check the fuel pressure (just by listening for the pump on ignition) and I didn't here the "buzz". So I go thru the fusses and the fuel pump fuse (20) is blown. I replaced it and all is good. Does this mean my fuel pump is about to go? It drove j...

turns over, won't start

OK, so, I'm driving fine, I park the car for like 1/2 hour, get back in, put it in reverse, half way down the driveway and it dies. It'll turn over fine and I checked the fuel line at the front, it's got fuel. I'm just at a loss on this one. Timing belt is only 4 months old. Any ideas. Any easy ways...

Ohh, and just FYI. Here is the handy tool I made to remove the seal. Just a tac that I hooked. Jabbed it through the soft rubber part of the seal and rotated the hooked edge up toward the metal rim and bam, one try it was out. didn't even touch the camshaft or housing! http://i514.photobucket.com/al...

OK, just for peice of mind I went ahead and removed the seal. It came out fine, no nicks or scratches. But... now that I have it out I wish I woulda left it cuz I don't think it would've made a difference. When I replaced the rear main a week ago I noticed theirs a galley of sorts that the seal can ...

Cam Seal?

OK, so I had a big oil leak, took off my cam sprocket and happily find the cam seal just dangling off the end of the cam. Anyways, I'm just following along in my Chilton's manual until they tell me to install the new seal at the same depth as the previous seal? Sooo, I go ahead and try putting it on...
